Thank you so much. The flat end of the chasing hammer will flatten the wire without marring the finish or texturizing it. You can use any kind of hammer, really, but any other type of hammer will mark up the wire. Thanks for posting this! I have made jewelry forever! My dollar store had purple wire, might have been 16 gauge but it worked really well for making bracelets!
